In a see-saw battle, it was Jaipur Pink Panthers who emerged victorious against the Haryana Steelers, winning the game 39-30 in Panchkula. Although it was an improved performance by the Dhaakad Boys, they failed to be on the winning side at the end of the game.
Monu Goyat got the Haryana Steelers off the mark and were impressive in the starting minutes of the game. Monu was supported by Vikash and some good defending at the other end, helped the team to constantly be in close range of the Jaipur Pink Panthers’ score. Naveen and Vikash were having a good time in the Panther's half as touch points and bonus points came at regular intervals The Haryana defense were on their toes and scored some crucial tackle points themselves. It was a neck and neck game till then as the first half ended all square at 13-13.
The Haryana Steelers didn’t have a great start to the second half. Jaipur Pink Panthers, in front of their home crowd, upped their game and took points in their raids and defense as well. There were some errors made by the Dhaakad Boys as the opposition gained an important lead. It was all going smooth for the Jaipur Pink Panthers until they took a time-out. Fortunes changed the Dhaakad Boys as Monu, Vikash and Naveen scored some important raid points. They even inflicted an all-out in the 34th minute to make it an exciting end. But errors in the dying moments with some good raiding from Deepak Hooda and compnay ended the hopes of a Steelers' win and the eventually won the match with a score of 30-39.
Haryana Steelers will now face Tamil Thalaivas in the last game of their campaign on 25th December in Kolkata.
